Meet Amber!

Her storytelling centers on immersive worlds, emotionally complex characters, and themes of transformation, hidden power, and the fragile balance between light and shadow. She specializes in high fantasy, crafting narratives where magic is both beautiful and dangerous, and where the natural world plays an active role in the fate of its inhabitants.

Outside of writing, life is happily filled with animals and creativity. I share my home with four cats and two German Shepherds. I’ve worked in the animal field since high school, a passion that led me to earn a bachelor’s degree in animal ecology. That background shaped my love for living systems, natural magic, and world-building rooted in life, balance, and nature’s mysteries.

I’m also a deeply spiritual believer, especially when it comes to how I view the world. I find meaning in the unseen connections between nature, intuition, and energy. These beliefs echo through the worlds I create and the characters who walk within them.

My journey has taken me through many roles: veterinary assistant, kennel technician, barn crew member (equine), middle school science teacher, barista, server, and an assistant manager at a pet store. Each step added something unique whether it was patience, grit, storytelling, or the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Those experiences now weave their way into my characters and the stories I tell.

I’m currently working toward a second bachelor’s degree in creative writing. Whether I’m writing soft-mystical scenes, building immersive lore, or caring for animals, everything I do feeds into the stories I love to share.
